1. Introduction
These Terms govern access to and use of the Spidoo website, applications, booking services, communication tools and related mobility services.
The registered legal entity operating Spidoo, its registration number and registered address are listed in the Contact Information section below.
2. Eligibility and Account Registration
To use Spidoo you must:
- Provide accurate and current information.
- Protect your login details and notify Spidoo of any unauthorised account activity.
- Maintain only the accounts you are permitted to hold.
- Meet any applicable legal-age requirement.
- Not impersonate another person.
- Not use customer credentials to access a driver account, or driver credentials to access a customer account.
- Driver and partner accounts remain subject to document verification, approval and ongoing compliance.
3. Spidoo’s Role
Spidoo operates a technology platform that connects customers with independent, verified transport partners for ride, courier and charter services. Unless a booking expressly states otherwise, the transport service is performed by the assigned partner, not by Spidoo as an employer of that partner.
Spidoo verifies partner documents, sets platform standards, processes bookings and provides safety and support tools.
4. Booking and Service Availability
- Ride Now provides immediate rides. It currently operates only within its active service area, which is shown before you confirm a booking.
- Courier and Charter bookings may be immediate or scheduled. Charter requests are quoted and reviewed before confirmation.
- Address search covers Nigeria, but a booking can only be submitted where the selected service is active.
- Spidoo matches and assigns available partners. Estimated arrival times are estimates, not guarantees.
- Traffic, weather, road conditions, partner availability, network failure or government restrictions may prevent or delay fulfilment.
- You are responsible for correct pickup, destination, passenger and package information.
5. Fares, Quotations and Payments
- Estimated fares are shown before booking and are clearly marked as estimates. A confirmed fare is shown once the booking is confirmed.
- Charter quotes are reviewed by Spidoo before you are asked to accept them.
- Applicable minimum fares, tolls, waiting charges or other approved additional costs are disclosed before or at confirmation. Spidoo does not hide mandatory charges.
- Accepted payment methods are shown at checkout. Receipts are available in your account.
- Failed or reversed payments may be re-attempted or recovered. Partner payouts are made under the Driver/Partner Agreement.
- Fares include or itemise applicable taxes and statutory charges.
6. Cancellations, Refunds and No-Shows
- You may cancel a booking at any time before the trip starts. Cancellation charges are shown to you before you confirm the cancellation.
- Your first 2 late cancellations do not incur a fee. After that, a late cancellation may incur a fee of 20% of the trip fare, capped at ₦1,000.
- Cancellations caused by partner delay, safety concerns, vehicle or driver mismatch, or a Spidoo fault do not incur a fee.
- Partners who cancel accepted trips without valid reason may face review under the Driver/Partner Agreement.
- No-show rules and any waiting charges are shown before confirmation.
- You can dispute any charge through Spidoo Support. Administrators may review and waive charges.
- Nothing in these Terms removes consumer rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
7. Customer Responsibilities
Customers must:
- Treat drivers respectfully and provide accurate trip information.
- Avoid illegal or dangerous conduct and follow lawful safety instructions.
- Wear seat belts and supervise children and vulnerable passengers.
- Not damage vehicles or carry illegal items.
- Pay valid charges.
- Not use the platform to harass or defraud others.
8. Driver and Partner Responsibilities
Drivers and partners must:
- Maintain valid licences, documents, insurance and permits, and use only the approved vehicle.
- Keep vehicles safe and roadworthy and follow road and transport laws.
- Never drive while affected by alcohol, drugs, fatigue or distraction.
- Protect customer information and avoid discrimination and harassment.
- Complete trips honestly and report incidents and document changes promptly.
9. Courier Terms
The following items must not be sent through Spidoo Courier:
- Illegal goods, stolen property, weapons or explosives.
- Dangerous chemicals, or unpackaged, leaking or hazardous materials.
- Controlled substances transported unlawfully.
- Cash or valuables beyond permitted limits.
- Any other item restricted by law or Spidoo policy.
- Customers are responsible for accurate package descriptions and secure packaging. Partners may refuse a package that appears unsafe.
10. Safety Features
Spidoo provides live trip sharing, GPS tracking, a trip PIN, in-app chat, Spidoo Call, direct phone calling after assignment, emergency contacts and incident reporting.
These features support safety but cannot guarantee that no incident will occur. Spidoo Support is not an emergency service. In an emergency, call 112 first.
11. Communications and Privacy
After assignment, trip participants may communicate through in-app chat, Spidoo Call and verified phone numbers. The following are prohibited:
- Harassment or spam.
- Sharing unrelated contact details.
- Attempts to move trips off-platform to avoid charges or safety controls.
- Recording or publishing another person without lawful authority.
- See the Privacy Notice for full data-processing information.
12. Location and Device Permissions
Location access may be needed for pickup accuracy, driver matching, navigation, live tracking, shared trips and emergency support. You can manage permissions on your device, but some features may not work without them.
13. Ratings and Reviews
- Customers and drivers may rate each other after completed trips.
- Reviews must be honest and relevant. Fraudulent, abusive or discriminatory reviews may be removed.
- Spidoo may use ratings in safety, quality and account-review decisions.
14. Prohibited Use
Users must not:
- Commit fraud, create false bookings, or manipulate fares or GPS.
- Circumvent safety controls or access another person’s account.
- Scrape platform data or introduce malware.
- Harass participants, use the service for unlawful transport, or interfere with platform operation.
15. Suspension and Termination
Spidoo may investigate, restrict or suspend accounts for safety threats, fraud, expired or fraudulent documents, repeated serious cancellations, payment abuse, harassment, unlawful conduct or material breach of these Terms.
Where practical, you will be told the reason and may request a review through Spidoo Support.
16. Intellectual Property
Spidoo’s software, branding, designs and original content remain protected. You receive a limited, non-transferable right to use the platform for its intended purpose.
17. Third-Party Services
Google Maps, payment providers, cloud services, telephone networks and other third parties may have their own terms and availability limits.
18. Service Availability
The platform may be affected by maintenance, outages, network failure or third-party interruption. Spidoo takes reasonable measures to restore service but does not promise uninterrupted availability.
19. Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Spidoo’s liability is limited to reasonably foreseeable loss caused by its breach of these Terms.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot legally be excluded, statutory consumer rights, liability for fraud or wilful misconduct, or any other mandatory protection under Nigerian law.
20. Complaints and Disputes
- Raise complaints through Spidoo Support in the app or by the contact details below.
- Spidoo will acknowledge your complaint, investigate it, and tell you the outcome. If you are unsatisfied, you may ask for escalation to a senior reviewer.
- These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
- You keep the right to approach the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission or a competent Nigerian court. Dispute-resolution wording is subject to legal review.
21. Changes to the Terms
Spidoo will notify you of material changes and ask you to accept the revised Terms before continuing. Previous versions are retained for audit purposes.
Closing your account
You may request deletion of your account at /delete-account. Requests cannot be completed while a trip is active or while an unresolved payment, refund, payout, dispute or safety matter remains open on the account.
